Corenominal has announced the release of an updated build of CrunchBang Linux 10 "Statler", with some significant changes since the last release. CrunchBang is a lightweight Debian-based distribution featuring the Openbox window manager. The Xfce edition has been discontinued to focus on the Openbox edition. The Gnome Display Manager (GDM) has been removed in favor of the SLiM login manager, as inclusion of the in Debian repositories upcoming move to GDM 3 was deemed undesirable.
Read the full release announcement on the distribution's blog. All in all it looks like #! is becoming lighter and more like ArchBang which was inspired by it. Talk about cross-pollination. 32 & 64-bit images can be downloaded from their respective page. And here is a link to the notes that explain the changes and reasons behind them in more detail.
This is one distribution that has piqued my interest many times, only the flexibility of the underlying Arch base, the great Arch Wiki and the rolling nature of Arch Linux that has proven here to work extremely well have kept me away and glued to ArchBang instead. But if you like Debian, #! will be the one to go for, and it's got a helpful, friendly, vibrant community, as evidenced by trawling the forums, for instance with tips in a thread on conky configurations.
Slackware in the main, but also other bits and bobs on Linux, BSD, and all sorts of things of interest.
