New Aliens Game by Gearbox Scheduled for Spring 2012

While on the subject of new and long awaited games coming out I came across this trailer for the new Aliens: Colonial Marines which will according to the Publisher be available spring 2012 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

"Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties (Edit: Goes without saying) as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe. Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley's Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe."

Here's the first known trailer from E3 2011.

One of the commenters alerted to the fact that if you enter 66.194.172.6 as address in the browser bar you're taken to a promotional site. The login there is Father, like in the trailer. It's a promotional site which at present only hosts an extended version of this clip, but for true fans of the Aliens universe it's worth checking out an extra seven seconds. UPDATE: Uploaded the extended cut.

Will it also be out for Linux if they say for PC? Somehow I doubt it.
