Anniversary, Distro Testing, and Future Articles

This blog turned one year old yesterday and has had around 130 000 page views by the time of writing, a definite up from 36 000 in the first six months. Not as much as some others have but hey, it's supposed to be fun. Jim Lynch over at Eyeonlinux.com has identified what he calls The Dark Side of Distrohopping, and I'm not planning to get as stressed out over testing and writing as he seems to be, but then if I remember correctly he is trying to make a living from his sites.

It's also the case that I have found the distributions I'm most comfortable with and settled in, everything else is optional. From time to time though of course we'll still  want to take a look at what other distributions are doing.

In the future there may be less frequent updates here as I am going to publish more reviews on other web sites. There may be shorter articles here and usually a link or announcement for the other publications. I'ld also like to write more about releases that were created with a special purpose in mind rather than generalist home user or corporate desktop/server ones.We'll see what time allows.
